The 414 Kitelodge Apartments

A clean, simple and spacious 2 bedroom apartment sleeping up to 4 people in one twin/double room and one room with large adult bunk beds – the perfect kiting apartment for convenience and value. The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen and living room but is unserviced besides the provision of bed linen.

Location: in the centre of Gera Lario above the Tout Sab Kite and Windsurfing shop directly opposite the kite school (30 metres from the kiteschool/150 metres from the lake).

3* Albergo Lario

Under new Italian management this summer the hotel Lario remains a 414 favourite, maintaining the functional practicality of its previous Austrian management with a selection of simple yet well appointed double, twin and single rooms, many with balconies and lake views, in the perfect location right next to the Kiteschool, lake and marina. The bar/café is a popular spot for locals to take their espresso and bed and continental breakfast is standard with half board also available at a supplement. English spoken is limited but 414 will happily make reservations for you (contact as for the apartment above).

35 beautiful self-catering bungalows right on the lake shore, 300m from the kite school. This is the perfect solution for groups staying for longer (1 week+) periods wanting the convenience of self-catering and the tranquility of a perfect lake-side location. Friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere make Sole Mio perfect for families. These bungalows sleep up to 6 people and tend to get booked-up a long way in advance by repeat-visitors, always a good sign!

Agriturismo Giacomino

Located high above Gera Lario at an altitude of 1100m this Agriturismo offers something completely different with stunning views over the lake and surrounding mountains. A great place to visit just for supper, a one night stay to break up your visit or even a truly peaceful and escapist option for your whole stay, Giacamino’s offers superb local cuisine with a set menu sourced mostly from the farm and surrounding area including their own wine and honey. Breakfast is also lavish and the rooms and communal areas are traditionally rustic in style but newly restored and very comfortable. Accessed via a 20 minute drive up the tight, hairpin ridden mountain road above Gera Lario this is only suitable for those renting a car.
